Enforcement Agencies

These training programs are offered to Law Enforcement Agencies
and take place at their facility.

Prices Include all Expenses. Prices are for US Law Enforcement Agencies.
Extra fees may apply for foreign destinations, based on availability of airfares,
travel time, and local costs.

T1. FLS – Crime Scene Processing Program.
1 Day – $ 2,195.00 flat fee for any number of attendees
$ 1,995.00 when purchased with FLS

Crime Scene investigators will be trained on the care, use and applications of Crime Scene Forensic Light Sources such as the MCS-400 and the battery powered HandScope®. Program includes: Theory of Light, Spectrum, Fluorescence, Reflectance, Absorption, Wavelengths, Filtering light, Protective Goggles and Camera filters, Safety aspects.Review of all Crime Scene Forensic Light Source applications followed by hands-on workshop (Latent print enhancement, body fluids and other trace evidence), using fluorescent powders and other crime scene tools, FLS maintenance.

T2. FLS – Fingerprint Laboratory Program.
1 Day – $ 2,295.00 flat fee for any number of attendees
$ 1,995.00 when purchased with FLS

Evidence Technicians will get a complete step by step overview of latent fingerprint processing, both on porous and non porous surfaces while using Forensic Light Sources such as the CS-16-500 and MCS-400. Cyanoacrylate techniques will be demonstrated. Dye staining will include Basic Yellow 40, Rhodamine, Ardrox and RAY. Fluorescent Powder Techniques will be reviewed and their limitations explained. For Porous surfaces, DFO, Ninhydrin and ZnCl will be used and enhanced with FLS and optimized camera filters.

T3. FLS – CS & FP Lab. Combo Program.
2 Day – $ 2,995.00 flat fee for any number of attendees
$ 2,795.00 when purchased with FLS

Training includes the above two programs T1 and T2.

T4. AFIS & APIS
3 Day – $ 3,995.00 for 5 PrintQuest® users maximum
FREE with AFPIS-10K purchase. $ 995.00/extra day
Detailed program on request.

For users of PrintQuest® AFIS-APIS: Training includes latent input process, card input, search results review, charting results, administration (archiving, creating users…). Optimizing latents with various skeleton related parameters.

T5. FBI IAFIS – Latent Print Submission.
1.5 Day – $ 2,995.00 for 5 PrintQuest® users maximum
Same price if purchased with AFIS or separately

For users of PrintQuest® (minimum required configuration is the AFPIS-3K) and an FBI provided encrypted Modem, the training includes initial set-up, connection test with FBI IAFIS and step-by-step instructions on how to prepare a latent fingerprint for IAFIS, how to send it, how to check status, how to download a candidate list and corresponding Images and how to download the full tenprint card into your local PC, once a Hit is confirmed. All described steps are done within One Software package (PrintQuest® AFIS) and do not require nor cover the use of third party software.

T6. Fingerprint Image Enhancement & Comparison.
1 Day – $ 2,495.00 flat fee for any number of attendees
$ 2,295.00 when purchased with ImaQuest®
Add an extra $595 for 1/2 day on PrintScope™

For users of ImaQuest®/IdentQuest™ software and SPEX Imaging Systems (CDIS, PrintScope™ and ImaScope™), the Enhancement training covers Image formats (TIFF, WSQ, TRC…), Enhancements (FFT cut, FFT boost, Digital filters, Background subtraction Merging and B&C. It also includes History Tracking and Database management. Charting a latent against a specific ink print is performed with IdentQuest™ comparison tools: Scaling, automated and manual edition of minutiae points, confirming points, charting and creating a document and Identification file.

T7. RUVIS – Crime Scene and Laboratory.
1 Day – $ 2,195.00 flat fee for any number of attendees
$ 1,995.00 when purchased with RUVIS

Crime Scene investigators will be trained on the care, use and applications of the SceneScope® RUVIS system at the Crime Scene (locating and photographing untreated prints under short-wave UV) and in the laboratory (Cyanoacrylate fumed prints). Program includes: Theory of Light, Spectrum, UV Reflectance and UV Absorption, Wavelengths, Protective Goggles, Gloves & Clothing. Safety aspects. Hands-on workshop (Latent print enhancement with UV angle), SceneScope maintenance.
